The mission of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church is to proclaim to all people the everlasting gospel in the context of the Three Angels' messages of Revelation 14:6-12. That's at the heart of the church's mission and is accomplished through preaching, teaching and healing ministries. Seventh Day Adventists serve all human beings in need and especially reach out to those affected by disaster or those requiring development assistance.
Since its inception, the SDA Church has believed in involving volunteer members to accomplish its mission. Adventist Community Services (ACS) mission is to motivate, equip, and mobilize Seventh Day Adventist Church members worldwide to meet unconditionally the expressed needs of people around them, thus fostering a trust relationship between Adventist churches and their surrounding communities, and nurturing people toward a restored, abundant life in Jesus (Matt. 17:1; John 10:10). The vision of ACS is that every Seventh Day Adventist Church be a transforming agent in its community, following the method of Jesus to bring help and hope through ministries of compassion in His name (Luke 4:16-21; Matt. 25:40)).
