Worship This Week
July is often a time for an adventurous Road Trip. Never know what you will see or what
may happen. Sometimes the road is wide open with great vistas. Sometimes it is a curvy way through the mountains. Maybe even a gravel or dirt road. Sometimes you come to “work zone” with flag men holding up a Stop sign.
The Bible sometimes views our spiritual journey through life as a highway. That highway can be rocky and bumpy. It may look like the road comes to an end unceremoniously. We may even cry out to God, “Why? This is not the way this highway is supposed to go!”
But God has a surprise ending.
"In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together. In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth. The Lord Almighty will bless them, saying, 'Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.'"
