Nate Furness, "Remember"
I love visiting my parents for the holidays. My mother will often bake an apple pie and other favorite foods to celebrate the holidays. It is interesting how certain smells often generate happy memories with my family. Our memories are often trigger by scents, sounds, seasons, and textures. These memories flood into us and shape how we experience the present. Remembering is a key ingredient to faith. In order to trust what God will do we must remember what God has done. As we begin the week of Thanksgiving may we take time to remember what God has done in our lives and our church.
Genesis 8:1 God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and all the domestic animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided;
